In accordance with Article 90 of the Duchy's Basic Political Instrument (e.g. Constitution), the 2nd Marienbourg General Election took place on August 8, 2023 by virtual means, exactly six months after the 1st General Election. Its result was computed and announced in the political forums the morning of the following day, with the immediate swearing-in of those elected at 12 noon on August 9, 2023. Gustave Lynch, despite not being elected, as political head of the Popular Party, which remains the majority party in the Ducal Diet, remains Minister-President. Turnout: 26 out of a total of 41 citizens participated in the election, resulting in a turnout of 63% of the population; above the 51% required in accordance with Art. 90.
