8th Marienbourg General Elections Result

In accordance with Article 90 of the Political Instrument of the Bases of the Duchy (e.g. Constitution), the 8th Marienbourg General Election took place from 1 to 8 August 2026 by virtual means, exactly six months after the 7th General Election. Its result was computed and announced in the political forums the morning of the following day, with the immediate swearing-in of those elected at 12 noon on 9 August 2026. Candidates in this election were:

3. Edgar Viçosa (PP)

4. Fernando Toledo (PP)

5. Filipe Arantes (UD)

6. Gabriel Torres (UD)

7. Guilherme Wünsch (PP)

8. Gustave Lynch (PP)

9. Jonathan Scherer (PP)

10. Mark Viana (UD)

11. Leonardo Montenegro (PP)

12. Stella Carvalho (UD) 13. Gabriel Calixto (UD) 14. Gustave Lynch (PP) 15. Victor Yang (UD) 16. Victor Braz (UD) 17. Bruno Nazaar (PP)


Elected candidates:

Note: All members of the Ducal Diet prior to the election were re-elected. Members Daniel Duque-Estrada (UD-Blauberga) and Fernando Toledo (PP-Pomerade) were reappointed by HM The Duke to the nominative seats.


Turnout: 36 out of a total of 84 adult citizens participated in the election, resulting in a turnout of 42% of the electorate; below the 51% required in accordance with Art. 90. However, in the absence of any statement to the contrary, the Supreme Ducal Court ruled the election result as binding.
