6th Marienbourg General Elections Results

In accordance with Article 90 of the Political Instrument of the Bases of the Duchy (e.g. Constitution), the 6th Marienbourg General Election took place from 1 to 8 August 2025 by virtual means, exactly six months after the 5th General Election. Its result was computed and announced in the political forums the morning of the following day, with the immediate swearing-in of those elected at 12 noon on 9 August 2025. Candidates in this election were:

2. Daniel Duque-Estrada (UD)

3. Edgar Viçosa (PP)

4. Fernando Toledo (PP)

5. Filipe Arantes (UD)

6. Gabriel Torres (UD)

7. Guilherme Wünsch (PP)

8. Gustave Lynch (PP)

9. Jonathan Scherer (PP)

10. Mark Viana (UD)

11. Leonardo Montenegro (PP)

12. Stella Carvalho (UD) 13. Gabriel Calixto (UD) 14. Gustave Lynch (PP) 15. Victor Yang (UD)


Elected candidates:

1. Victor Yang (UD)

2. Filipe Arantes (UD)

3. Gabriel Torres (UD)

4. Guilherme Wünsch (PP)

5. Jonathan Scherer (PP)

Note: All members of the Ducal Diet prior to the election were re-elected, with the exception of Victor Braz (PP), former Diet member for Pomerade, who did not run. His seat was filled by Gustave Lynch, Lord President of the Council of State and President of the Popular Party. Members Daniel Duque-Estrada (UD-Blauberga) and Fernando Toledo (PP-Pomerade) were reappointed by HM The Duke to the nominative seats.


Turnout: 28 out of a total of 61 citizens participated in the election, resulting in a turnout of 45% of the population; below the 51% required in accordance with Art. 90. However, in the absence of any statement to the contrary, the Supreme Ducal Court ruled the election result as binding.
